Each platform uses an official API where available, falling back to paid data partners and then to public HTML for resilience. Private accounts and DMs are never touched — only publicly visible profiles, posts, and engagement counts enter the pipeline. You can submit anywhere from one platform up to all six in a single request. Different platforms weigh slightly differently inside the niche rubric because audience expectations vary. Yes — AlgoMaxxing fully supports scanning any public profile, including competitors, reference creators, or prospective clients. Because we only read publicly visible data, no consent from the account owner is required, the same as when you view the profile in a browser. Agencies use this for pitch research and creators use it to benchmark style references. We do not store sensitive personal information beyond what the public profile already surfaces. If a scanned profile later requests deletion under LGPD or GDPR, we honor it within the statutory window and purge any cached data. Scanning private or locked accounts is not supported because the data is not public. There is no special competitor pricing — a competitor scan simply costs one credit just like a self-scan.
